What do you think ?

According to the forum it seems the best asic miner is the incoming Neptune from KnC Miner.

This depends where you are based. If you are in the US, I will get the CoinTerra. You don't need to pay import tax. If you are based in the EU, then I will go for the KNC miner, again you don't need to pay import tax if you lived in the EU.

Here's another great site where you can prove for yourself that mining bitcoins now, or in the future, is not viable (profitable).
http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator

The manufacturers are no doubt making money from both mining, because they are at the forefront of the technology, and of course from their sales.

I'm just as sorry as you, but it's the cold hard reality  Sad

The fact is that it's almost always been WAY better for a hobbiest to put his money into BTC now than to preorder for delivery 3-6 months out.

@nodroids
So you need a full scale commercial setup for mining to be profitable with SHA256 coins? Does the same logic apply to Scrypt coins?

That just isn't true at all.

Where do you purchase your altcoin?

You can buy altcoins from various websites, like BTC-E.com and Crypto-Trade.com : PPC, NMC, XPM, FTC
You can convert  these altcoins to BTC too. I think for others (eg.: TRC or DOGE) you must have mining gear, because I don't found any website that trade them for fiat (=real money).
