Hello friends, I would like to set up a big meeting of Nxt owners (only accounts with 10.000 Nxt+) in Maledives next Winter. Many of us will own an island there in a few months, so we will probably make a poll, which island will be chosen. I think it would be smart to start this symbolically today when we are celebrating the release of Nxt source code and experts are already proving its geniality: Source code appears to be the work of a super-genius with a strange formatting style.
NXT's beauty is in the algorithms and maths that have brought forward the state-of-the-art. ... The algorithms are groundbreakingly better than anything that's come before. I am glad the NXT has a computer scientist like BCNext behind it who actually has new ideas and can bring them to life... New capabilities are something that has been missing from every other alt coin that has come before NXT. If I was a dev I would create the RAT. Rice Analogue Trader. I would be combined Pow/Pos and Pow would be CPU only in a way similar to XPM, as in it would contribute to the scientific community. Preferably running some genetic algorithms or some such fancy talk. A tiny fraction of every transaction would become part of a fund which automatically and securely distributed it's RATs to a series of charities which worked towards creating food security in area's affected by climate change and what not.

Maldives is a BAD symbol for Nxt! The whole place will be gone in about 40 years due to rising sea levels. So don't pay too much for an island  |

If it hits 0.1 I'll be sitting on 1268 BTC! so ill chip in to the island purchasing pool, as long as it comes with a custom built fishing boat and a recliner for the mrs so she can stay on the beach whilst we're fishing that would be perfect! (what are the actual chance of seeing the price increase from 0.00007630 to 0.1 Seems like it has a long way to go. but you never know :-) Please keep an eye out for a new tshirt line something along the lines of "I bought a few NXT coins and all i got was this lousy island" and on the back it will just have a big middle finger with HAHAHAHA! written underneath :-) |

I'm fairly sure that u'll make it, bro. Just look at how far the price has already come, and that on a basis of dodgy clients, constant attacks of all kinds, hackers, trolls and not very much functionality.
When NXT gets into it's stride and more features get implemented, I think a dollar/NXT by the middle of this year is possible.
Get the beers in, warn Victorias Secret they will need some more models soon........we are going to the Maldives in style!
(I say we, because some lovely Nxt'er just dropped some more NXT on me. I love this community..... )

@ erok: Peercoin looks like a good bet, but it, and all other 1st gen cryptos are very limited in their functionality. The thing about NXT is that it is not just a simple crypto-currency, but an entire eco-system that can be built on the blockchain. If u can imagine it, u can probably implement it in NXT.
