are you running mediterraneancoin-qt with the -server option?
or are you running mediterraneancoind with the -server option?

it is ok to use one or the other, the important thing is the -server command line option.

Yes I am running mediterraneancoind with the -server option.

I give up.   Undecided

can you report the output of mcproxy?

Anymore nodes?

there are four main nodes at the moment:
162.243.18.169
95.85.43.185
162.243.224.22
162.243.222.173

ok, the network situation is improving; on our reference client we see 16 connections.

also the network hash rate is increasing (10165206 at the moment), meaning that more people have synced to the blockchain and are now mining.

current block height is 3162 with 1 minute block target.
The genesis block was generated two weeks ago, in theory the block height could have been already 20160 but did only some short mining for testing for a total of about 2500 blocks.

y dont u upload the blockchain somewhere, not being able to sync the wallet to any of the main nodes means only the few people with complete blockchains  are able to mine, its already been some hours and still the wallet doesnt sync at all.  the premine is being effectively extended as long as this situation exists Sad

edit: dev could upload an up to date blockchain with a current peers.dat to a filehost such as Mega or Mediafire or to www.livechains.net so people dont have to wait forever for the 2 week premine to download with the wallet before they can start.

even with addnodes posted above nothing is being synced :\

I was able to get sync'd up after awhile w/ those nodes provided above. It also looks like the windows proxy is running (reminds me of the matrix screensaver). Running the modified cgminer looks the same as the other. But I'm not getting any blocks and cgminer is stuck on the no suitable long poll for localhost. I'm using an asic cube (38 gh/s). It's reporting some activity at 12 gh/s and accepting shares w/ no rejects but cgminer isn't. Any suggestions?

Edit. I'm guessing it's because cgminer is not seeing my cube but the proxy is working and the cube sees that.

This is due to low difficulty. Once it gets running it should be sweet.

yes, correct.

at the moment, we are mining with two Block Erupters only and we are finding new blocks every 30 minutes.

the network hashing speed reports now 7.353.188.640 Hash/s , difficulty has increase to 82.39 as expected and the enormous ASIC devices should be limited by the CPU power.

Instead, the smaller ASIC devices should continue to work and get able their share.

Of course, since the number of nodes of the network continues to increase, we will need to get a pool, before or later.

Welcomed! I wonder how many miners using GNU/Linux, who just blindly copy-pasted stuff including .conf name, gave up
in the end because of RPC connection issues. Another thing that makes me wonder is what hash difficulty is actualy accepted
as a valid block, by MED wallet. It seems to me that hashes with difficulty like 83/82 which are shown as accepted are not
generating new blocks. Looking at my miner, it seems hash difficulty must actualy be over 150 or even 200, e.g. I have way
more "Accepted" hashes than those which mined a block for me.

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.

I'm having similar problems, check my previous post. Though, it is funny that after I posted about problem and restarted
computer my miner got 2 blocks in few minutes both with 92/82 difficulty hashes! Could it be Java is acting up somehow?
I'm using NXT as well and I noticed that when registering aliases Java tend to stuck and not respond for some time. All
other software I've been using that use Java were running into sync/keep alive/connection issues. MultiBit comes to mind
as main candidate, using it was a horrible experience, totally not recommended.

In the last hours it has happened also to us to have a few mined blocks refused by the network; this is part of the rules of bitcoin/litecoin protocols, however, it should not depend on the new proof of work algorithm.

When a block with a good PoW is found, it is immediately sent to the network for acceptance; it is the network which reaches a majority and eventually accepts the transaction.
If can happen that a new mining transaction is refused because somebody else has found another solution to the same block, just a fraction of second before.

Regarding the fact of finding two blocks in a few minutes, that is luck!

Regarding the stability of mcproxy, can you report the CPU usage for the java process?
