Cool, keep us updated!

Just playing around with a cheap logo maker I had messed around with a while back for something else Cheesy

Anyways, how do you feel about a new facelift for C-Note? or rework its image and presentation - updated visuals etc...

ok, anyways just messing around lol  Wink

PS: this is definitely not my area of expertise lol, I'm just a Miner  Grin

And its not that we don't love this guy too  Smiley

Hey that's good! actually I found this link here in this thread somewhere when skimming through a couple of weeks ago  Wink

So we can both thank the original posted for this explorer. Like I said I do like it and seems very accurate.

AND the pool is looking as it should now  Smiley accurate also!!

Looks like C-Note rebirth is on the way!
5 miners tonight on the pool,
4 mhs on the network,
block explorer up and running,
and 16 difficulty... this is what we need to get listed... more of the same thing....

I remember this coin from 2014 back when I was into altcoins... That said, I will setup a pool and give the details here and hopefully the OP can update the 1st message. I will say that it will only have a 1% fee that I always setup on the pools I operate. More to follow.....

Yes seems it coming along just nicely  Grin

I'm trying to get some people to throw at least a core or 2 here and there at it.   Roll Eyes It adds up.

Their going to wish they had mined in these early rebirth days... low difficulty, almost like a soft coin launch lol

Hey that sounds great. Post the info or if ya want to test it out, let us know and we'll throw a little hash at it.

Ya I mined this coin back in the day and have hung on to my original wallet and coins hoping it would spark back up. Maybe it will rise from the ashes!  Shocked

Nah I have always enjoyed this coin C-Note is a true crypto classic, very worthy and fun and easy to mine. Nice to see involvement and support!

THX

EDIT: My first transaction was on 2/22/2014 From Mine-pool.net lol was a receive of course, of 100 Benjamin C-Note's  Wink

That's besides the point lol  Grin

This coin has all it needs to have a place at the table again.

Why don't you throw a few hashes at the pool and help out  Wink

The Pool is operational and turning coins out =)

http://174.138.34.218  (Domain comes later this week/end )

point your miners to stratum+tcp://174.138.34.218:4033 -u your_cnote_address -p what_ever_you_want

Payouts happen ever 3 hours based on mature blocks.

Let me know if it gives you any issues.

Hey it looks pretty good. Any particular reason payouts are 3 hours, being its a  p2p? But doesn't really matter I guess. The dev pool is instant is all.

But I like the layout and the coin exposure helps a lot!! Be patient! takes time to fill up a pool with miners  Wink

THX!

Not really sure why it is set to 3 hours, the dev of the pool software has it that way. I would assume, just in case a fork happened. Give you time to stop the split from screwing stuff up, lol. I'm just getting back into the game of being a pool operator, so I figured it would take time to get back into the game.

Lots of activity in last 24 hours:

We now have a second working pool.
I updated the OP to reflect update.

Network hash really moving up nicely!
If we keep this up we can get listed very shortly!

Ya apparently the coins mature while in the pool wallet then payouts occur. Which is cool. Its a nice pool layout.  Smiley

Yes it is. Soon GPU's will become the dominant hasher's and CPU's will take a backseat as in most coins. In some ways I wish the algo was limited to CPU  for the masses to mine. However, but then we would have to deal with server farms etc. and bots mining like most other CPU only coins result in. Its all good!  Wink

Hopefully in July we can see a listing on exchange! in the meantime we all need to promote and get miners on board, especially with 2 pools now  Smiley

I may point a GPU miner away from the dev pool to the new "valid error pool"  Grin seems he needs a little company there and to share the wealth lol

See how it goes.....

Also: this is a great coin for older GPU's. I am mining with a Radeon 6870, that will not mine newer coins. Which is good because these cards have been collecting dust!  Roll Eyes

Are there any tutorials for installing the wallet on Linux? Using Linux Mint. Have the windows wallet installed in WINE, connects and is synchronizing but I don't see anywhere to add the address for the mining pool. Went to the options tab, then chose mining tab but there is only an enable or disable and choose the amount of threads to use. No place to enter address.

Hey not sure how things work with Linux, however that mining tab is for solo CPU mining from your own wallet if not mistaken. In which case it will generate a wallet address for payment. Also you would need to set up a conf. file for solo mining (Solo mining is not really worth attempting now as difficulty is rising unless of course you have a very powerful rig to devote GPU hash power to it.)

You will need to download the mining software for either CPU or GPU depending on how you want to mine.

Once you have done that, you will need to configure a .bat file or batch file to start the miner. Within the command line arguments you will place the pool address and your wallet payout address etc.

Will look something like this for CPU mining: Windows

minerd64_sse4.exe -a quark -o stratum+tcp://96.67.25.134:54094 -u CMcJdbfwQEvpvzCXUrTZXZwiWGPbVGQaUV.Rig7 -p x -t 2

or

GPU mining: Windows

GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
sgminer -k quarkcoin -o stratum+tcp://96.67.25.134:54094 -u xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -p x

Using Linux you may need to add the (./)    EX: ./minerd64_sse4.exe -a quark -o stratum+tcp://96.67.25.134:54094 -u CMcJdbfwQEvpvzCXUrTZXZwiWGPbVGQaUV.Rig7 -p x -t 2

Create you batch file within the mining software folder of your choice.

Anyone wants to chime in and give better advice please do!  Smiley

Both Miner downloads are listed on the first page.

I enjoy the company. I will be working with devs that will/want to restart their coins (and even community takeovers) to help get them back on the grid.

plus I just updated the pool to payout every hour.
