Im in the middle of creating a minecraft gsp, that accepts bitcoins for payment.

After scouring the net, i ran across this - http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=37496
Its a WHMCS gateway module that allows you to accept btc as a form of payment, yet ive been having troubles with it.

Is there any other way i can setup btc payments through whmcs, or something along those lines?
Or has anybody gotten this plugin to work?

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

you might want to look into bit-pay.com, that's another payment gateway for Bitcoin.  My site btcmerchants.com uses it and we've had pretty good luck with it.

It would be cool to setup a minecraft server that you virtually mine for BTC. Like If you find 50 diamond you get .5 BTC. The world would have some arbitrary amount of BTC to accumulate. Of course it would be pay to play. It would almost be like gambling.

Yeah that is a cool idea, I'd play.  It might be tough to police it though to make sure people aren't cheating or killing each other.

I had to make some modifications to get my GSP's work.
I forgot which modifications I made.

I also removed the refund function.
If they need a refund, they can create a support ticket.

You may want to have a look at BitcoinNotify. Accepting Bitcoin payments is as simple as handling HTTP requests.

  • payments go directly to your private wallet - trust no 3rd party
  • keep your wallet disconnected from the network so it can never be stollen by hackers
  • there is nothing to install on the server
  • there is no external API to call
  • customer never leaves your store (no 3rd party site involved)
  • receive HTTP updates of the BTC exchange rates

See how to accept Bitcoin payments for details. Feel free to pm me if you need any help.
