So I have an ASUS Radeon R9 280x and I have a Sapphire R9 280x ...

Only the ASUS has an HDMI out.   So I run an HDMI from that, to my monitor.  Works great.

However when *both* GPU's are plugged in to the motherboard with risers, there is no longer a signal from the ASUS HDMI out to the monitor.

Nothing displays.

All i have to do is unplug the Sapphire from the motherboard and voila - I get a picture on my monitor.

Is this some sort of conflict?

Suggestion on how to fix?

Thanks

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

You will lose some time to find out why it isnt showing the HDMI as main display. If you put your main display in the second card slot, it might be a problem. I would buy a DVI-HDMI converter, its under 5 dollar, and put it in the main card, done.
