Network Upgrade: Rainforest

MBCians, we are firing up engines! The network upgrade is set to happen at 830,000th block which is estimated to occur on March 6, 2019, at 00:00 UTC.

Please avoid making any transactions 10 blocks before and after the network upgrade.

Rainforest, is the new anti-ASIC algorithm that will be implemented in the upgrade. this way, mining will continue to be decentralized.

Pools, exchanges, and all node holders please update your daemon to the latest release by following this post https://mbc.wiki/d/23-rainforest-network-upgrade

Difficulty Too High
The expected block 830,000 is at a very high difficulty due to a minor bug that was to lower the difficulty at that block, instead will be at the next block. Which takes much longer time for the miners to mine.

To fix this, the developers are going to release a fixed updated patch in the next 30 minutes.

Never heard about this forked coin before today by chance this thread. It is listed on CMC that is good point and also few hours ago was update. I have no idea how things went here since last May but will be digging in now. I also would like to ask in presence of Lightning network of which main target is micropayment how this coin will evolve. A lot has changed in last 3 months specially.

Having Connection Errors?
Those facing difficulty connecting to the network during initial the sync:
1. Visit this link.
2. Pick one of the IP addresses listed.
3. Execute the following command using the MicroBitcoin CLI, or in the QT wallet's debug window:

addnode SELECTED_IP_HERE add

The application should find and connect with peers on the network. See wiki post here.
