Thanks to bitcoin I am now in paradise taking a much needed break from life and it's immense stresses. This is my view as I write this on my iPad (also bought with bitcoin!)

2013 has been a very rough year for me and it finished up with my first love leaving me just before Christmas! So I made the decision to gtfo of here for a while... Spent a weekend in Amsterdam and am now travelling the beautiful islands of Thailand. Currently on Koh Samui, arrived today.

Without the bitcoin I amassed from my Avalon (thanks Yifu) I would still be in miserable cold England paying huge amounts of rent/bills and working 75+ hours to pay for it. Whilst getting over the hardest and worst thing that has ever happened to me. I made the decision to cash out most of my reaming bitcoin for this trip and I regret nothing. Looking forward to my X3 arriving in Feb so I can hopefully continue this trend.

Thank you bitcoin. You fucking life saver, literally.

Does anyone else have any stories like this? Done anything life changing with your stash?? Please partake...

Thanks to Bitcoin, I went from being a 29-year old basement dweller with nothing to my name besides some computers, to being able uproot my life, move out of state, to buyout a condo outright with no mortgage payments ever, purchase a decent car (2007 camry, 55k miles), and in just about every way has given me a fresh start. I'm able to attend college again, and am currently working on a degree in environmental science and policy management... and I still have a 100+btc nestegg in cold storage.

<3 Bitcoin, and Satoshi.. whomever he/she/they(plural) are, thank you.

Have to agree Phangan is nice get yourself on bottle beach its not as commercial as Samui definitely worth a visit , if you really want to tour then get to koh chang plenty on mini vans go fairly cheap from Samui its very beautiful and half the price of Samui from there you can even head down into cambodia its like a $1 a beer still and easy to get there from koh chang head too sihanokville then koh rong its like Thailand 15 years ago cheap cheap lots of backpackers for you :-)

Congrats sir. That's great to hear Smiley

Similar situation here: recently purchased 2 houses with euros I got from selling some bitcoins (still holding on to most of them) and currently planning a world trip. Will most certainly make a stop at Thailand Smiley

Got any good suggestions for Samui?
Yes, if you like partiyng: take a trip to Koh Phangan (Haad Rin). Especially around full moon, but basically it's partytime every night there.

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
