Not sure if I should order or not.
Do they give a guaranteed shipping date?
I have just watched their proof of concept video and was surprised by the bad quality both of the video itself and the microphone used to record  it. Also their POC video shows just an fpga board and not an ASIC.

More disturbing is that the FPGA in the video is hashing at roughly over 43 kh/s.  Huh

I am unsure what to do ...

I might be mistaken but I was under the impression that they demonstrated 20 cores each mining at 43 kh/s?

I dont get it really. Ok they are about half the price of setting up a gpu rig, but they wont ship until Q2/Q3, so you would be better of just building your own rig and get 6 to 9 months mining in before they ship, or i am missing something?

Here you wait up to 3 Month for good GPU.

5 Mh/s = 7 R9 280x

7 R9 280x = 1750 Watt

The Alpha Miner need 100 Watt. (Scam is always possible ...... )

The Rig with 7 GPU can you not realize because I don`t know motherboard with 7 PCi/e slots.

For 6 GPU yes (today arrived  Smiley)

I can compare both maybe in 6 Month. Let see whats going on.

I thought about this to but cant find gpu's anywhere so tht concept goes out of the door, and now online shops are imposing one gpu/customer limits
