I've wanted to buy bitcoins for almost 1 month now, I have researched and searched this forum in full. The only method I've found that is semi-working is using the btc-e exchange, dealing with interkassa (which I can't understand anything from as it is in Russian), and then depositing and withdrawing using the btc-e. However, it seems a very long and expensive process considering this sequence takes like ~20% extra of the money I intend to pay.
Keep in mind I can't use paypal as it is not supported in my country, which is the biggest deal-breaker.
Sorry for posting here but being a newbie I'm restricted to other sections.
Thank you very much!

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

I've heard you can do it with credit cards in a round-about way by using 2nd Life to buy Lindens and then convert to bitcoin on the Virwox exchange..
Do 'International Wire' bank transfers work from Lebanon to Hong Kong? If so you could deposit to mtgox.

If you're not with hurry, you can buy in YouTipit.org with ClickandBuy (you have to wait 45 days to withdraw for the reversing thing).

Is there perhaps anyone local who will do a trade in-person with you? - http://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Category:Local Look at Bitcoin.local, BTC Near Me, Ubitex, etc. Also, you might put a buy order in the #bitcoin-otc and see if maybe someone will see it and inquire directly. - http://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bitcoin-otcAnother option might be to try a friends and family connection. For instance, if you have a family member or friend located in the U.S., for instance, they might assist by accepting funds from you through PayPal (or credit card if they have Square, for example), and then deposits cash for you in an exchange account with ExchB, for example. In Canada, the same thing is possible -- through VirtEx.

What about Google Checkout? If you don't mind paying double: http://www.btcnow.net/ (I know paying $18 for a bitcoin is stupid, but if you're desperate and need it really fast.....)

It's crazy what a pain it is to exchange for BTC. Paypal and creditcards realize BitCoin is a threat so they make it hard to access.
