So I wanted to buy some dogecoins and went to the dogemarket. I found someone who would sell me some and I agreed. We agreed to 250,000 dogecoins for my 90 in amazon gift codes. I send him the codes and he says they work. He then sends 1 doge to my adress. I click on his account and he deleted it Sad. His username was triskiadekadelic and he was impersonating I trusted seller I dealt with before Sad . I feel so horrible right now Sad.

It sucks to be scammed.

Don't send first, especially not such large sums. There are many thieves around in crypto community.

That is rough, sorry to hear that. As others have stated, I would use escrow in the future.

Talk to amazon customer service. Just say for some reason your amazon gift cards doesn't work.

I'd go one better and say they were stolen. If they see someone has used them they'll assume it was you.

Good. They can trace them to his account hopefully. Be good to see him get away with squat. Probably have his account on amazon suspended too. Let us know how you get on. It would be nice to see a scammer get his comeuppance.

Success!

I'm really happy for you. I'm glad someone got their money back from a scammer.  Grin

Next time, use a trusted escrow service.  Smiley
