One must leave plenty of room for doubt whenever Mr. Keiser provides us with such "hints," but, nonetheless, we need a thread to discuss the possibility: https://twitter.com/maxkeiser/status/419497007678382080On Reddit, people are wondering about the "recurring billing" problem with bitcoin. But I'm thinking "view on demand"! There would be a "View Now" QR-code next too each movie and when you pay it in bitcoin it immediately starts to stream. No account required (or an automatic cookie-based account similar to just-dice.com).

The payment protocol improvements for 0.9 should be ideal for helping Netflix adopt Bitcoin.

How. Will they be able to set up recurring payments?

Netflix is the only fiatstock I can be bothered with, since it's the only everpresently open window on my machines that isn't coin-related.
Thusly: Yay.

I don't and doubt I ever will use it, but I hope it's true. I'm betting it wont be though.

If this is true then it's a new big company taking it and perhaps wider acceptance. a large amount of Netflix use depend Recurrent Payments which until now aren't available in Direct Client at least.

It makes perfect sense! Wow!
If they can figure out the recurring payment issue, which some people seem to think is inevitable, this could be a fantastic development. Hope it's true! Netflix is a big draw.

How. Will they be able to set up recurring payments? The customer would need to be reminded and approve renewal, but the payment request makes the process more straightforward and flexible. https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0070.mediawikiWallet improvements would be required for fully automated regular payments.
