I suspect he made this rumor up but that that's a good thing. Netflix sees the overwhelming positive reaction and suddenly the rumor becomes true. A nice self-fulfilling prophecy.

I wonder if Bitcoin's price will rise? I reckon Keiser is just trolling.

He's losing credibility as an economist if he keeps chatting shit though. I guess he doesn't care, but still...

well his fans don't care.. as long as he says what they want him to. that's how extremism works. that's imo how the media works; you don't need to say something substantial or true (though he does say some things that i agree with), you just need to catch the attention of people.

Max keiser is a very successful troll, what else do people do when they're rich from bitcoin in their freetime?  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin will rise, and it will fall...wait, he predicted that!!!! max is a prodigy  Cheesy

One must leave plenty of room for doubt whenever Mr. Keiser provides us with such "hints," but, nonetheless, we need a thread to discuss the possibility:

https://twitter.com/maxkeiser/status/419497007678382080

On Reddit, people are wondering about the "recurring billing" problem with bitcoin.  But I'm thinking "view on demand"!  There would be a "View Now" QR-code next too each movie and when you pay it in bitcoin it immediately starts to stream.  No account required (or an automatic cookie-based account similar to just-dice.com).

Keiser is going to be the next Fontas.

maybe he is fontas

Or maybe he is Satoshi?

Or perhaps even both?

nah I think Charles Lee is satoshi

The Litecoin inventor?

ya .. I think it was invented by the Lee's brothers and backup by wealthy Chinese people.

Seriously? Alex Jones thinks Keiser is Satoshi BTW, but he's a fucking idiot.  Grin
Normally i would only quote the relevant comment, but for visualization purposes i just wanted to point out how ridiculous quoting every comment of a conversation is... Please quote me  Grin

What about his "fans" before he started hyping up Bitcoin? He's not or wasn't just an unofficial Bitcoin spokesperson until fairly recently, but an economist first and foremost. He'll probably fuck up his mainstream credibility if he keeps spreading FUD and hanging out with Alex Jones etc.

that's okay, he can make new extremist fans.. and if not, he'll just be a controversial character. either way, there he has plenty of willing eyes and ears. at this point, though, he's probably made at least $10 million.. that's not including the amount he has probably pumped and dumped, and re-bought.

The payment protocol improvements for 0.9 should be ideal for helping Netflix adopt Bitcoin.

How. Will they be able to set up recurring payments?

The customer would need to be reminded and approve renewal, but the payment request makes the process more straightforward and flexible.

https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0070.mediawiki

Wallet improvements would be required for fully automated regular payments.

That's true, it's a step forward but we need a better contract implementation, like holding funds somehow
(i.e. break the contract at any time if the balance of a given address if lower than the next subscription value)

Max Keiser is losing lately, not really sure about credibility anymore after quark flop

Max tweeted:

https://twitter.com/maxkeiser/status/419527569227005952

"The same source that told me back on Nov. 20th that Zynga was going into BTC https://twitter.com/maxkeiser/statuses/403240571491217409 … is saying Netflix is considering BTC."

So he does have some credibility in his predictions.

When it hit $40 he said on RT that he had become a Bitcoin millionaire.

he also has a nice stash of cryptocoins that he has been pushing. that's what makes me think he's just in it for himself.

max keiser trolls all the time.. he does have a vested interest after all. at this point, i tend to believe that even the winklevoss brothers are less suspiciosu than max.

He's losing credibility as an economist if he keeps chatting shit though. I guess he doesn't care, but still...

he probably doesn't, he is getting filthy rich from bitcoin and litecoin.

the thing is, if he keeps doing pump and dumps with alt currencies, he's going to lose some fans.. since they will lose out.
