Hurricane Irene has knocked off a large chunk of the mining community. The price of bitcoins is growing and the Hash rates are way down.
My Question is. Who or what resets the mining difficulty? And when will it happen? Huh

I'm running at 850mh/s and only got 0.16 Bitcoins in the last 24 hours from my pool. WTF!

And why has other grown so much? i was told that most of the Other category were just zombie computers taken over by viruses and forced to mine bitcoins.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Deepbit. I changed it from prop to pay per share but it did't help. I shut down miners for a few hours to update and run virus scans and shit but still. its at .12 now.

How long will this last?

That's just the way she goes. All it takes one long ass block to really tear at your earnings.

I'm at Deepbit too, it just seems that the pool has been quite unlucky during the last couple of days. Hashrate isn't really much lower, went from something like 5.7Th/s to 5.3Th/s.
