I have 64 bit ubuntu 11.4 and my aticonfig shows Adapter 0 and 1 as having core speeds and core temps, but I can only mine using device ID 1, Adapter 2,3,4,5 say ''Error cannot get core speed''

Is this a driver issue? I can only mine on 1/6 cores, Im using Phoenix miner.

5562.00 MH/s
Average speed in last 10 minutes

Are you setting your the environment variables correctly?

What version of AMD APP SDK are you using?

Try redefining your GPUs with aticonfig's command:
Code:
sudo aticonfig --initial -f --adapter=all

Also try adding
Code:
export DISPLAY=:0
before you call your miner.

To live is the rarest thing in the world, most people simply exist.
