I like this idea. It would make tipping easier and probably encourage more of it.

Just seems like something else that could go wrong. I don't find it hard to copy-paste an address from someone's profile or signature.

Yeah, how would this integration work exactly? Easier just to do the above.

Yeah, how would this integration work exactly? Easier just to do the above. The problem is that we'd need to pay BTC into an account to pay tips out of, similar to how the Reddit bitcointip bot handles finances, and I don't think Theymos wants anything to do with being responsible for user funds; understandably so. Beyond that, the integration is the relatively easy part.

Maybe an option to upload a QR code somewhere would be good. Maybe a clickable link on your profile that enlarges a QR code to scan in.

You can already set a bitcoin address in your profile.

I like the idea but almost certain that it won't be added. People were asking for simple things like 2FA or even upgrading the SMF and not getting it and adding something complicated like this one is unlikely at this time.

You can already set a bitcoin address in your profile. Oh, thanks. Is there any way to make it viewable without putting it in your sig or profile?

Maybe something like this is coming in the next forum software I hope not. It's something which isn't needed and would be a waste of time. It's simple to copy a address and send it with a Bitcoin wallet. Least there is no security vulnerabilities to consider here at the forum.
