I tried to do a pre-order for BFL Monarch but the ACH payment option is no longer available. Any thoughts?

At least it still has a bank transfer option.

For mining contracts they only accept bitcoin now. I tried to use ACH a couple of days ago to preorder a contract and none of my 3 bank accounts were accepted by them - all of them regular US checking accounts. I emailed their tech support and didn't receive any reply.

I guess there's so much buying pressure they are looking for easy ways to maximize the profits (get all the cryptocurrency and fiat currency they can NOW as opposed to several days later and put it to work).

Bank transfer is several days faster than ACH so you can use the money right away. Bitcoin transfer is instantanious and they get to hold on to bitcoin while the rate goes up so they make money while the buyer loses money - and "eventually" they ship the product - who knows how profitable it will be by the time they ship it.

That's my newbie take on this. It's just there are so many people like us (maybe I should speak for myself) who want to buy into it that the vendors can do whatever they want.

Very nice move BFL, now there is no way people can refund once they made their payment.

This is a blessing in disguise. Bfl not very reliable. Please do your own thorough research on bfl deliveries in this forum before you hand over your hard earned.

It's likely because these guys have horrible history when it comes to fraud (see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=110805.0)...  Their CEO just ended his supervised release involving mail fraud to the tune of $25m.  Save your dough or buy from KNC, WTCR, Bitfury, etc.
