Couple Scrypt mining Qs

Hello world! I've been around in cyptocurrency for a couple months now and I'm curious to see what's out there in the scrypt mining field.
Is there any REAL development of ASICs? or is that all speculation
How do some miners have hash rates over 10 MH/s? Puzzles me how they have a high hashing rate when GPUs are the only way to go as far as I know.
Which card is the most profitable (in terms of Kh/s and its $ to buy)

Speculation I think. I know some people have whole farms of GPUs.
