Hi!

I wonder how much people have multiple wallets of different coins? Do you use multiple wallets or just one? Do you own multiple coins or trade them into one asap?

I do have multiple wallets of different coins, but only one wallet of each coin.

Is there a software to have an overview over multiple wallets? Would be great to throw my excel sheet with manually added exchange rates and stuff away Smiley

I typically have three wallets for BTC. One is my main and is heavily encrypted and backed up.

Another is for expenses (purchases, trades, etc) and keeps a small amount in it.

The third is for "pocket change". I like keeping this around for faucets, donations to places/people, and receiving tips for things.

By making not touching the main wallet (and only using the second for trading), I've been able to resist the urge to cash out or otherwise make a potentially bad decision. Tongue

I was thinking about this myself today. I'm really surprised something like Armory for multiple wallets does not exist yet. I'm a software engineer, so I'd love to look into making something that would manage all of these alt coin wallets securely, but unfortunately (for my side projects), I have my first little one on her way soon. Really think this would be a big improvement for the alt coin circuit though.

I currently have about 7 different wallets on my machine at present.  With a few of these coins on there ways down and out (Moon & Cage) I should be able to free up some space (and sanity) from trying to manage so many wallets lol

Thanks, I'll have a closer look at it, but it seems that you have to add your transactions manually. Would be awesome to have an online service which only needs your coin address and you get your balance + some exchange values automatically.

I hope you guys understand what I want to say Smiley

For the moment, 4 : BTC, DOGE, NYAN & NTX. I convert everything else in the exchange market.

I was a bit worried about running all my wallet at the same time, but seeing that some people have 20+ Wallets, I'm guessing that there's no problem in doing so.

Sometimes i am running for wallet instances at the same time and it works fine for me.

I have a few, but just for BTC.  I'm paranoid about alt-coin wallets having viruses.

I wish this multiwallet will eventually work... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397096.0
Would store the 'everyday coins' there and bigger batches on separate hot and cold wallets.
