There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

There's going to be future Conferences obviously, so there's gonna be

announcement 1
2012 NYC,
2012, Amsterdam
2012, Thailand (forgot the city)

announcement 2
then in 2013 there's going to be a cruise from Spain to Rio ( 17 days ), a 5 star Bitcoin Cruise since Bruce's friend apparently owns the largest travel agency in the world.

I wasn't too shocked about it since it's pretty far in the future, and you know how long that is in bitcoin time.

and oh here's the reddit thread. http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/jn6xe/bit_navigator_just_in_time_for_the_nyc_bitcoin/

Thailand is on!!!

Who's gonna hire the strippers for the cruise? We will see what we can setup  Cool

I hope the Thailand conference will be in Chiang Mai late in the year.  The rest of the country is too close to the equator.  Everyone's bitcoins will melt!

Good to hear.  I really would have loved to have made it. I am just getting off an all night shoot and I'm in Queens so I don't know if it's possible to make it there since you're only going till 12pm today.  I have a nice 4G streaming setup from a laptop with livestream on http://blackout.com I coulda put up.  Are you guys still going to O'Crepes?  I think I am closer to that.  In any case it seems a lot is happening for bitcoin.  I look forward to seeing some of the interviews and next time getting involved earlier.

- Blackout

I doubt we are going to o'crepes for lunch.
It is kind of far.
Lots of us are still at the onlyoneTV studios and the talks are going strong.
Come on over!

I ended up crashing out. No more energy reserves (three long projects back to back no sleep till Brooklyn).  Thanks for being hospitable though I am sure I will catch up with you guys sooner or later.  I'm definitely rooting for bitcoin and I'm not one of you major players I didn't get on the boat early enough but I just like freedom in general and the entire idea of it.  I'm going to try and do a fun segment and use my humor site to bring bitcoin to my audience in layman's terms it's still currently too geeky for regular people to get it  or use and is mostly adopted by the geek or stock trader crowd. I see this changing though with some modifications to the client and online services and a little less manipulation by the massive coin holders and some more easy tools for 'regs' (regular people) it will really hit the hot seat.

I do various characters and shows on awareness and not being a sheeple, liberty.. but I'm not the Alex Jones type, I'm more a comedian / actor / host / film maker with a production company. I like to bring messages subtly like this

(sorry if you're a mac person)

This was my first test pf my live streaming show from a laptop with a backback:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9yy7i0trQQ

No bitcoin mention in there but as an aside when I was done with the puppet, NO ONE at the apple store new what a bitcoin was....  at the time of this I didn't really know either... but still no apple people I know have any idea what a bitcoin is.

Anyway when do you plan to post all the interviews?

That's 24 minutes and 42 seconds of my life I'll never get back. I can't believed I watched it twice. Luckily I bookmarked it to watch it again in the future. Truly enjoyed it, Blackout. If you happen to take the time to read all my posts, you should have no problem finding the one where I stated that I used to do sit-down (mining accident) comedy.

The name of the prank call is "The Quanicles" and yeah, that's me.  That was when I was a teen. Got a few more toys than I did though now and trying to actually make a legit film for Sundance 2012.  Any of you big bitcoin players wanna invest?  Anyway. glad you are still laughing as I am still making stuff.  if I would have been doing the streams, there would be sound.

I'm gonna make it to the the NYC one but I doubt I'm going to Pattya...

I thought you were going to rip into me but you liked it good I'm glad.  Now what do you mean mining accident?  Real mining accident or bitcoin mining accident? I fail to see how graphics cards could sever one's legs off.... burn them badly perhaps... but disable them?

That was definitely my favorite, but "Take Your Medicine" was a very close second, followed by "Malcolm and the white boys" and "The Rrrrrooksnitchzien Society." Brilliant stuff.
