To me it seems that the only bad news that affected BTC came from China x 2.  All the other country's announcements -- India, Germany, Norway, etc. -- had no effect.  The US's tepid positive announcement from about 6 weeks ago did have a positive effect, but not the same magnitude of China's.

The recent/current rally appears to be related to the Zynga announcement, and maybe to a few other miscellaneous recent positive ecosystem announcements.

A few of y'all referred to possible "bad news" -- short of a formal US denouncement, what could that possibly be?  Or, do y'all think there's a chance of a US denouncement soon?  (I am fairly certain that would cause a significant crash.)

We can sit here and talk about good/bad news all we want, but here's the thing: the last rally never did really end officially... it's more like, it went into "intermission". The big crash that many were expecting never happened, and now that everyone's nerves have soothed following the China news from last month, we're going back up again and will soon blow past the $1200 ATH.

Night gathers, and now my bitcoinwisdom watch begins.

Now the price is not easily climbed this price came here so stabilized so now there is rare chance to go down.  So now its all the way to 2K and again will be down to 1.3K-1.4K all the way down. So finally now BTC is not going down to 3 digits.

I think the price is rising a little too fast so there will be some corrections. My prediction is it will briefly go below 900 on bitstamp but will not go back to 800 without some serious negative publicity. Most likely scenario is 1500 within 30 days.

I guess we had some of that "negative publicity" Smiley

We've barely passed $1k again. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's very likely to dip again and give one last chance to buy 3-digit coins.

Will we drop below $900 again? Very unlikely. IMHO

Bitfinex victims. DO NOT TOUCH THE BFX TOKEN! Start moving it around, or trading it, and you will be construed as having accepted it as an alternative means of payment to your USD, BTC, etc.

Jimbo is a very silly bull

There were lots of others in this thread to be honest but I know from past experience that all the best retard calls on this forum are JimboToronto retard calls.

I will also admit to holding lots of Bitcoin at that point in time and was waiting on the $1000 resistance to be breached, as soon as it wasn't however, I knew to fold my hand immediately and have been bearish ever since.....unlike poor old Jimbo.

It's is always fun to look at things in hindsight... Might be best now to ask if Gox ever goes above $1000 (or $200 for that matter).

I think once Mr Karpeles has consumed enough caffeine he's going to push it to over $1,000,000,000 before keeling over and rolling off his ball.

This is why I scarcely take anything in 'Speculation' seriously.

Too many threads like this get dug up.

By the end of next month at the latest we will have permanently left behind 3 digits. You can quote me on this.

How can you go to zero if money isn't going in or out?

Maybe the following 2 things can make that happen
 - They shut down the site with the message "Due to high frappuchino usage we can no longer support this business. Your BTC is lost bye bye!!!"
 - Everyone loses hope and trades go to zero and mass abandonment. Some last sorry-ass dude sells hit BTC in GOX for $0 making the last trade $0.

Other than that Gox can remain on the low but will never hit $0.

Bitcoin is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get !!
