How do you solo-mine turbocoin. Huh
I was wondering because i don't know how to set the .bat file, the pool, name, pw, ip, almost nothing.

Does anyone have a clue?
make a config with

rpcuser=what you want
rpcpassword=what you want
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=first page of this thread
server=1

make a cgminer string that match the config file, therefore same user/pass/port, restart the client and you are done
Thanks, but can't get it to work.
Can you tell me how would you set up the .bat?

Edit: seems that I've succeeded.

I mined 40 coins in a pool in 6 hours of mining, I guess that's pretty good for an alt with 21M maximum on a medium-end non-pro computer
I am going to try to catch a block solo  Grin

A pool-operator noticed it too.
It's not a big issue, other coins like TAG don't show it either.

Maybe in the next update with the new logo it's something that can be repaired, if it's just missing code.

The http://xtb.cryptominer.net/ pool seems to have almost all of the net hashrate now? The other pools are practically empty!

Looks like there are 43 miners in that and handful in the other, and whoever is solo mining. This coin needs some miners and some marketing, I guess the coye coin took the spotlight, but this coin needs to make some noise.

What may be the exchange value 0.00000001BTC?

Of Coinye? Yeah.

This one should have three or four less zeroes.

At the moment...

Where is the support for this coin? Such a smooth launch, but little vocal love!

Well, I have loved it so far...

To quote myself:

Bitcoin didn't have a community and/or ecosystem at its launch.

The survival of TurboCoin will depend on the existence of support for it.
If you don't believe in TurboCoin, please don't waste any CPU / GPU cycles on it.
If you do, make it happen!

No promises, no pump and dump, expect nothing.

I could make promises, try to pump it, ask some crappy webshops to accept it, try to get it on an exchange and dump my share, but the best way to make this coin grow is by the support of the community Smiley

Someone asked me about the blocktime and why it is 10 minutes. Faster blocktimes don't make a coin faster, for security the same amount of time is needed so you will need more confirmations to make a stransaction safe.
And for small transactions, XTB will show up directly after transfering the coins, just like Bitcoin.
For a pizza or a burger, nobody will do a double spend attack, so no confirmations are needed.

I hope it's worth at least 0.1 $ per coin and that is a really pessimistic evaluation.

We need an exchange, there is no point in mining if there is no exchange. Invent something new, activate people, we must do things instead of "waiting for the (invisible) community" to magically help us Roll Eyes

OP has made it clear how thoroughly disinterested they are - sadly, not much hope for it picking up without some developer motivation.

Too bad, it was a great, smooth, easy launch...

I haven't seen the Bitcoin dev around lately, didn't stop it from becoming a popular coin Wink

Man, I'm not even mad at you, but you seem to be confusing that landscape with this one - and in this one, there are hundreds of other coins that will crush this one without exposure, regardless of merit.

I'm not trolling here, maybe you can take my concerns seriously?

Don't get me wrong, if you just don't care, I'm not trying to stop you.

These questions are here to suss out exactly how worthwhile supporting this coin is.

Luck is not the only factor here...
