Has anyone been able to maintain a decent hash rate with this GPU's PowerColor HD 7970 V1 ?
Its not a dual fan model.

What settings are you using? I got a R9 280X which is pretty much the same as HD7970 and I get ~710kh/s with "-I 13 -g2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192". If the card is throttling, you need better cooling in your case.

The above settings should get your hash rate up. Remember cooling is very important, if your tower fans aren't good enough you might need to use a normal fan blowing onto the card.
Make sure the cards temp is around 80 degrees and under.
