eCoin: SHA-3 Currency With a Community News System and a Unique Economy.

Thank you for showing interest in eCoin.

eCoin is a next generation cryptographic currency that uses the newer encryption standard SHA-3, instead of the previous standard SHA-2, to secure the network.

eCoin's unique economic system provides users with an extremely fast and secure alternative currency combined with unparalleled network security. eCoin's supply remains steady and does not halve as other currencies do. Halving weakens the network and does not make sense since increasing hash power for a limited resource already increases rarity. eCoin is also capped at 7 billion coins, plenty for universal circulation.

Technical Specifications
Hash Algorithm: SHA-3
Block Time: 1 Minute
Blocks to Retarget: 100
Mining: CPU+GPU
News System: Ability to broadcast community news to all clients.

Economic Specifications
Block Reward: 700
Total Coins: 7 billion (1 per person on Earth)
Halving: None. Coin supply is steady for 20 years.
Recommended Min Tx: 0.05

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.
