I was looking at the hash rate fluctuations but then often missed the low diff, and by the time I switch, everyone else saw it was low and jumped on board. I happy to mine 24/7 on Bat now... more profitable in the long run.

Well BAT fans, I know there are a lot of newbies here.  I'm going to tell you a story and want you to LEARN FROM MY FAIL!!!  Dummy me thought he would get in on a new coin, got up to launch and someone posted a link to the wallet.  Well, I bit, downloaded and ran.  Little did I know I infected my computer.  I had just came back from a trip and had not made backups of my wallets.

Last Saturday at about 12:47 it hit and started to erase my files.  It hit the roaming dir first and deleted my folders (and wallets).  Over the past 5 days I have been trying to recover my wallet.dat files.  I was able to totally recover PirateCoin, only 10% of my BATcoin and NONE of my Klondikecoin (had about 8000).  With BAT, I was able to recover what I solo mined, but nothing from the pools.

Lesson learned, BACK UP YOUR FILES!!  But when you do EXIT from the wallet.  If you don't exit the wallet the files will not back up correctly!

It cost me about 9 Million BAT and 8000 KDC.

Again, LEARN FROM MY FAIL!!

What did I learn, how to use pywallet!!  Doing one more deep scan of the bad drive and hoping to recover more shit!!

Sorry to hear that. You should let people know what coin it was so they stay away.

It wasn't the coin, it was someone announced a bad wallet.  I'm not done trying, I only found 80 private keys in my BAT wallet,  Going to start hex editing and see if there is a corrupt sector.  Maybe I can recover some of my hard earned BAT!!

I dont understand the dice game. Usually with gambling the odds are always in the favor of the house. With this game you get to set the win chance yourself.  I get that a higher win chance equals a lower payout but what is to stop you from just setting the odds in your favor and macroing the roll?  Where do the coins come from that you win? If people win more than they lose wont these coins run out?

Hey folks!

I have very bad news everybody: the n0nplusultra Server was hacked and nearly all wallets on the server got cleared out.
As for now I have no clue how the attacker managed to access all the wallets but I'll be working hard to find out how he did it!

For now i closed all the pools and transfered the remaining coins to safe wallets... I did this to give the attacker no chance of stealing those remaining coins too and to be able to split them up correctly between the miners... I'll payout the remaining coins to the users in the next days proportional to what they should get...

For now I'm uncertain about the future of the n0nplusultra pools... I'm currently thinking about leaving the pool business again because I actually underestimated the amount of effort people would invest in screwing over pools. Actually I wanted to expand the pools and I was also currently working on a community site for the pools. But I will listen to what the community has to say and if the majority wants to see n0nplusultra pools again I'll reopen them again....

I also want to use this chance to say: don't leave coins on pools... there is always the chance of pools getting hacked...

I actually wanted to go to bed when I detected the missing funds... I feel like shit and I'm really sorry you guys for all the lost coins... Cry
I also want to thank all the miners who mined on n0nplusultra for so long... I feel very honored by you guys who stuck with our pools!
I want to assure you that i won't just vanish I'll stay in this community and I'll also definitely keep on mining....

If you have questions you can write me a PM here or use the pools contact form!

Man. Sorry to hear that. It just goes to show that there is no shortage of assholes out there trying to screw good people out of their earnings. I've already been on the shit end of that stick a couple of weeks ago and ended up losing some coins. And then there was the whole doge coin hacking problem and scryptpools. Good luck going forward with whatever you choose to do.

Hey folks!

I have a little update for you with some very important information:
I found first traces of the intruder and I'm certain he could obtain all of our databases... Your passwords are saved encrypted in the database nevertheless please change your passwords if you have same username/password on other Pools to be safe!

I'll keep you guys updated on anything I can find out.... for now i have to get some hours of sleep....

Also I want to thank you again for all those positive feedback that really means a lot especially in such troubled times....
