Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Those coins are pretty established. Harder to manipulate i imagine.

Any coin can be pumped and dumped. Why are you interested in just these ones? The worse coin for price manipulation or Mastercoin.

The market cap for LTC is pretty decent. You shouldn't be worried too much about buying it since it follows the step of the BTC.

Watching Mastercoin's price fluctionations almost makes me want to jump in. Lots of peaks and valleys to buy/sell in.
