It's a Shame

I find it a shame to come to a forum which is supposed to be a nice community and trusted sellers list and all.  It looks good.  The problem is the first transaction I tried to make I got scammed by a "trusted" user with positive feedback.  It kind of leaves a bad taste in your mouth.  Who can you go to?  Who will help you?  Nobody.  That is what I figured out about my experience in this forum.  Is there a moderator to help?  No.  Don't get me wrong people here will help you.  I have come across very helpful people here.  I have run into scammers as well.  I looked forward to this new community and got taken advantage of.  Please beware of dealings.  Get all the help you can but trust nobody to sell or buy anything here.  Stick to trusted stores with return policies and guarantees you actually get what you paid for.

Third party vouches from "trusted" members  or people with many posts mean shit to me and so should to everyone else. The transaction is between you and the seller not with an unrelated third party who could be collaborating with the scammer for all you know. Live and learn.

Learned what I already knew don't trust people.  Pretty much the reason a lot of people use bitcoin.

You're basically saying that a good and trusted user can't refer another user to someone else which is dumb. If I got a good deal on a car at a used car lot, I'd refer people to that dealer so that they might get the same deal or a similar deal. This situation's no different.

Moral of the story is always get the BTC first. I know I'm not a scammer so I know if I get the BTC first , fraud is impossible. Some people won't do that and I don't blame them. That being said , no one should send the BTC first without verifiable information regarding the identity of the seller. If not that use escrow. Alot of people are selling items that have high demand. Moving on to another buyer/seller is not a problem.

Yah, I saw some trust on the board for Ninja/Hollie. Luckily, the transaction was to purchase MtGox USD via Paypal, so I had some recourse to prevent the transaction from moving forward after I did further research and had no communication from the user after sending payment. Most certainly a scam and I wouldn't trust this person (and I'm suspect of others surrounding this person) as far as I can throw them.

Bottom line, do not trade with Ninja/Hollie, this person should be blacklisted.

Not much for great luck for my first transaction on this forum...
