I am a UK based sculptor using a foundry in Berkeley CA. Over the last 15 years I have paid $100,000's in foundry bills and been ripped off every time I pay their invoices by the intermediary banks. I want to try paying in bitcoins bit I'm fairly sure they'll want paying in dollars and won't want the hassle of setting up a bitpay account just for one client. Is there a way to use bitcoins for the transfer and have dollars paid into their bank account?

I have set up a BitPay account and it is SO easy...

but if you do not want to go that route I think you can send it to them via CoinBase. I have sent bitcoins to family members by just sending it to their e-mail address. I am not sure what it looks like on their end though.

First seastead company actually selling sea homes: Ocean Builders https://ocean.builders  Of course we accept bitcoin.

No, I want them to receive dollars into their bank without even necessarily knowing that I sent it in bitcoins. I need a US based service that will accept my bitcoins and pay the foundry in dollars.

I think the answer is probably no- as that would be a portal to money laundering as a 3rd party is transferring the money without collecting details about the person the money is going to. That is why your foundry would need to sign up with Coinbase, bitpay or some other payment processor first. They need to prove who they are before they can receive money. Especially amounts that over years add's up to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Thank you for your reply. I will try to persuade them to set up a bitpay account.

they would adopt you as their own son if you taught them how to use their own wallet and make it secure

you must "clean" the transaction with plateform based like virwox to do this ... so, the bank don't known that you use bitcoin (virwox use paypal to resend to bank account).

but, many many fee...  Roll Eyes
