How many of you trade using ALT/BTC in order to boost your BTC stake?

I've personally had some success with it, but recently it has been a bit tricky with BTC rising so fast and everything else static. Fortunately I only committed a little amount to it.

What success have you had using this technique? Any tips to share on the matter?

I have been having good success as well, What i do is buy USD->BTC->LTC->Alt coins (i have a profitability calculator i made)->BTC->USD.

The only problem is trades are not happening instantly on cryptsy and I have no where else to turn so my profits have taken a hit (as we speak i have multiple XPM coins waiting to be traded back into BTC for the last 2hours)

I wish I had funding to knock cryptsy over and do my own site. Also I believe stagnation of coins comes the markets being open 24/7.

Ah yes, I was looking at your thread on that. It looks good, especially as it is working for you. Will be nice if you do end up getting it hooked up to a decent API.

I haven't bothered with Cryptsy given how slow people say it is, which is a shame as it is the ideal place to leverage on the hot coins.

Do you know how to work with API's?

I've turned about .01-.02 btc gathered from alt giveaways into 1 bitcoin (estimated portfolio value from cryptsy) and thats with all of my holdings suffering from the alt coin drop currently happening. Can we call it a crash yet?

In your opinion why are the prices falling or markets crashing?

That's pretty good going  Smiley How long did that take you to achieve? I put 0.1 BTC in to Cryptsy and it's now 0.27 BTC after 2 long months!
