i just got into cpu mining with the cloud. One day got me 16 Quark with 24 cores. I need 1000 quarks to have a decent amount. I quickly realized that was not worth it and now im mining datacoin. I have about 8 coins now and its going on 12 hours or so. I'm still trying to answer that question myself. I may try protoshares next.

How long does it take for you to cover the cost of the VPS ?

slicify will prob lead you back to digital ocean as they are usually the cheapest. I just like to compare them all with the slicify market calculator.

One and only Best CPU Coin is Bernankoin (BEK).  BEK at its early stage, you can easily mine big number of coins each day.

All The Best.

That's what happens when it it popular. Quark has 3500 difficulty and Frozen 2500, so 1355 actually isn't that bad.
You could find one with a very low difficulty, but then it will most likely never make an exchange.

What am I going to do with BEK? I have a few millions but I don't know what to do with it at all.

I would recommend CDNcoin, it was launched just a few days ago (1.1 i think) and is pretty easy to mine because of it. Apparently it's a chinese coin which has created a big buzz over there. It's not yet on any exchange ofcoouse and it might be a risk to mine it but it could yield a big profit if you start now and it succeeds, after all isnt altcoins always a bit of a gamble Smiley

I set up a cloud mining setup to do my bidding with 10 cpus, will follow with interest how the coin will proceed!

Thanks for the tip guys. But $10/month is only giving you 1 core on Digital Ocean for example. How is that profitable to mine anything? It took me 8 cores to mine .1 datacoin a day. Which works outs to 3 datacoins a month = $1.6 a month. Profit = -$8.4 (rough calculations). Am I doing something wrong?
