Are you sure the cables are good?

Try plugging in just one card using each cable to see if one of them (or both) are bad.

I have 8 cables  and tried different ones .... just wandering if anyone use-n the extender cables are having any problems ... my cables look like this

http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p216/Jepito/cable.jpg

now matter how or what order i run the cards  .... i get blue screens

is it a voltage problem i wander .

i see other pictures of this card on extender cables running fine  Huh

i thought i could plug them in and ROLL ...  when i remove the extenders and run them from the board it rocks
i needed them apart for cooling

I have been wrestling with the same issue. I can run the card plugged into the MB socket, put the 16-16 extender inline and the issue comes back.

not sure what is the reasoning behind the issue but I am currently stuck using 3 1x-16x ribbons and the cards behave properly

I really hope someone can figure this out, having one in the Mb socket is overlapping my 5th port so i have one of this cards sitting on the damn shelf

not a solution but a work around, since having them running they perform wonderfully
