BYRON WIEN: Bitcoin Will Collapse In 2014
http://kculshare.com/2014/01/byron-wien-bitcoin-will-collapse-in-2014

This is so stupid as if he's right then he's more famous and if he's wrong then no one really cares. What does he base this on? If he's basing it on history then he's wrong because this is a different era not the infamous tulip collapse. If one knows the future based on history then what's fun to live? History can only give so much information as a caution and this is why history teachers/professors can only make so much as they are the ones who know a bit more.

What do you think?

Talking the price down. The realisation has hit the financial industry: get a piece of cryptocurrency action or die slowly. This sort of thing only goes to show what a scheming bunch of sociopaths these type of people really are.

I hope they all realise that there's almost no financial industry left once cryptocurrency becomes the norm. It may take a while, but in principle, these people are mostly dead wood.

Does ANYONE over the age of 70 not think bitcoin is going crash (Wein, Greenspan, Gary North).  They don't get it, and they never will.  Wein's predictions for 2013 were also bad.

I'm feeling a correlation between Bitcoin announcements and the discussion of tulips.

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.

That is a great link.  It looked like he was 10 for 10 in 2013 - WRONG that is.  Bodes well for bitcoin in 2014!  He must be a great contrarian indicator now.

If his predictions for 2013 are any indication, that means it's to the moon with Bitcoin in 2014.

Yes, actually. I don't think BTC will crash or I wouldn't have been mining it the last couple of years. (I'm on the wrong side of 70).

My grandpa doesn't think Bitcoin is going to crash and he's 98. He understands it's a paradigm shift.

Did he predicted in 2012 end that Bitcoin will touch $1,000 ? If yes, then I will consider his current arguments. If not, then I'll tell him to GTFO.

Heh - the picture in my avatar is of Alan Turing, a hero of mine. The queen of England pardoned him the other day, by the way.
I imagine the pardon said something like "Sorry about the castration thing. Too bad it drove you to suicide.
Oh, and thanks for cracking the Nazi communication code so we could win the war.
Come to think of it, thanks to you and von Neumann for inventing computers - they came in handy too."

That's that then.

As for me, I got my first programming job 47 years ago. Nothing has changed. Everything has changed. Whatever.       Smiley

How can he predict anything if he even doesn't know facts from the past. His mind is just living in alternate universe. And his next prediction will be something about aliens invading Earth in 2016.
