Hi All.

I recently Bought 3 Bifury 5 g/h to add to my block eruptor raspi rig.

Am running Minepeon, which is not detecting the bifuries. The rig runs my block eruptors fine.

Have tried  installing the bifury drivers through zadig on windows 7. While the devices then show up on device manager, The bifury devices are STILL not detected on either cgminer or bfgminer 3.9

Even tried switching firmware on one of the devices as instructed here: http://c-scape.nl/bi-fury/ .

Now the lights don't flash on on that one, but windows still detects "bifury".

Anyone who can reply with an A-2-B  human-readable solution on how to get these things hashing on both raspi and windows the gets the 0.05 BTC bounty.

Thanks!

I could copy and paste this text but it is better to check this out for yourself (go to the setup part): http://cryptojunky.com/blog/2013/11/16/hashing-with-bitfurys-blue-fury-bitcoin-miners/

Also check this out thread out: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=319419.0 they will help you with all your questions, also all the info you need is on the first page like this for windows 7:
1 ) Download Alpha Drivers Here : http://www.mediafire.com/download/819me4zvdju8lyg/bfgminerWin.zip

2 ) Extract and note where the bf1.ini is located in the folder.

3 ) Plug in your Blue Fury Miner and go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and printers

4 ) Right Click on the Bitfury BF1 Device go to Properties > Hardware > Properties > Change Settings > Driver > Update Driver

5 ) Select "Browse My computer for Driver Software"

6 ) Select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"

7 ) Select "Have Disk", Browse to the bfgminerWin folder and Select bf1.ini

8 ) Select Install and it will give you a warning that the driver is NOT SIGNED. Press okay.

9 ) Now that the Driver is installed navigate to bfgminerWin > bfgminer32

10 ) Edit the #Mine.bat file in Notepad and change everything after "-O" to your own mining pool information and save.

11 ) Double click #Mine.bat and start mining

Video guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUtcah8iSNE

Hope this helps.

Edit: There is also this thread I forgot about https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=287590.0

What hub are you using? These things eat power and are best used in USB3 hubs that the pi does not like.

Minepeon also only has bfgminer 3.4 and cgminer 3.6 on the standard image which probably does not support these. You will need to update minepeon through a git pull rather than downloading the image again.

Looks like a permission problem into the file /etc/udev/rules.d/01-miner.rules :
Code:
GROUP="plugdev" ===> GROUP="minepeon"
