I have had 6 BTC stolen from me a long time ago, in 2012. My client still says the transaction is 0/unconfirmed however blockchain shows it as spent. If there is someone who can walk me through recovering these (I am lead to believe there is a way), I will pay generously.

You may try start Bitcoin-qt with -rescan to correct the 0/unconfirmed error

Can you elaborate further. Were you trying to move it to a market? Send it to someone? Spend it somewhere? The only reason I ask is I think there are some specific aspects that have additional confirmations and waiting periods, especially if you are new or it is the first time you are transferring.

I sent it to someone.. Who did not pay me and dodged me right away so I closed the client immediately. Blockchain shows it went through but on my end it is unconfirmed and I want it back. From what I gather there may be a possibility and I will pay someone good to help me get it back.

Can you post or PM me the Bitcoin address you were sending the BTC to and/or the address you were sending from, the date and the amount.

Sorry to say it but if there is a transaction in the blockchain for the amount you sent then they are gone.

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

Once the transaction is broadcasted it doesn't matter what your client says.
I think you lost the sum but as others already requested please post your public key and we can check

Ya I kind of thought so... I didn't care too much when they were stolen at $10/BTC... Now I am quite upset, just spent $4700 on my truck's transmission, that would have helped lol.
