what's with all those cheap prices for NYAN...

NYAN: max 337 000 000 Coins
DOGE: max 100,000,000,000 Coins

so I would say 1NYAN for 300DOGE

would set this for standard

You would be correct if DOGE and NYAN were trading on the same level - but we have a long way to go until this point obviously.  Might be possible one day though who knows!
always keep in mind that miners (neccesary keep coin alive) don't mine for free...
they always want there power and hardware cost out of it... 1 NYAN/1 DOGE is way to cheap...
if that is the rate I would stop imediatly and start mining doge... I would get 100 times more doge then nyan...

just my 2c

Well I mean I did the math right now and if we look only at hash rate parity (you want to get the same rate for mining nyan as mining doge) then 1 nyan is worth roughly 1.3 doge right now. Things will obviously change if nyan hash rate goes up more but for now that is the best that makes sense. Simcom was right in that if I offered 2-1 then you can easily make more by selling nyan to me than you would mining doge which makes no sense from my perspective as a buyer.
if you look at hashrate then many coins will be 1 to 1doge (or even cheaper)
you always must look to max coin supply... AND the demand/offer ratio
for example :
42 low hash rate (only 0.5GH/s) (380+ BTC => 200000000 doge's)

Looking at the total amount of coins that will be produced is only a supply side view. In order to actually predict a fair price we need to combine that information with that coming from the demand side. Right now that is a complete unknown (though the news suggest positively). Even if everything goes amazingly from now on, it'd be hard to say that nyan's market cap will be equal to DOGE's (50 million). It seems unlikely imo for that to happen because the community is not nearly as big as doge and we need a lot more media coverage for something like that to even come close.

codge...
that would be your reward for keeping this coin alive... I have only 10% of your amount...
but there were only a few of us who still believed in this coin...(they forget this coin was on life support for 2 weeks (only 5 a 6Mh/sec)  now they would destroy our work... so hold the line, do a little giveaway (if you want), and if you sell, sell it in partials...

atheistftwins: also you helped to keep this coin alive... you also have 150K+

I think you both are the holders of most of the coins... don't be stupid and sell low...

To be fair braxx, I do want the coin to go as high as you say (I own twice as much as Codge), but I have seen a lot of coins shoot up in price due to pumps as a result of inadequate market information only to see a huge dump which crushes the coin. I want NYAN to grow due to its potential as the first licensed coin, but I want it to grow steadily as a result of increases in demand. A preset price based on nothing but the supply of the coin in comparison to DOGE will not do the coin any good but will instead harm it.

That's like saying rare earth minerals like zircon should be worth as much as gold just cause their availability in the earth's crust is comparable. It's just not good economics.

Edit: After googling some more, it seems that my example is bad as zircon is not as rare as I thought it was. Point is the same though, (I'm just not a geologist), rarity does not necessary mean high price if the demand is not the same.

I'll probably be doing a giveaway soon but most likely going to be related to my pool, either free coins for new miners or setting up bonus blocks so people finding blocks on the pool get a bonus payout or both Smiley

I by no intentions plan to get rid of this soon... I mean unless someone really offered me 184 BTC which will never happen. lol But you're right. I've been mining this coin since day one. Me and my little 7970 and i7 4770k for about a month. I did a giveaway before this announcement was made. I honestly believed in this coin. You have no idea how happy I was to hear that the dev kept his promises. I will keep promoting this coin and have no intention of stopping. I'm still mining right now, me and my whole 750Kh/s.

Had a feeling about this one, should have trusted my instincts on launch day and mined it instead of that other thing.  Roll Eyes

Are you going to be able to buy Nyancat merch with this coin?

I'd appreciate any coins and I'm sure my hardware would enjoy the coins as well.  Wink

Thank you!

Would really appreciate this if someone with a high hashrate is feeling generous. Thank you!
