Email recovery is only useful if you have forgotten your password. When someone gets your account password, the first thing they do would be to change both the password and email.

I did, still no reply Theymos is probably pretty busy and I'm sure he gets tons of PMs daily, so as much as it's a shitty/urgent situation, I think you'll have to wait it out, or maybe try contact another mod and see what the sitch is? There is no way back. Money is gone. You have to deal with it. this is why i don't like this crypto currencies. is some one steal you there is no back and no refunds like on paypal when someone screw you.

This is what stunna was talking about ruining the system. Hello everyone, My first account has just been hijacked. Any chances for a recovery? Mods, admins, help Milan77 here. A big question to ask here, is do you know how it was hacked, because u have a leak of information somewhere that needs plugging. It might be best to clean house and change up to make sure you dont lose anything accounts on different sites.

I assumed it was being abused to try scam people or post, but no posts have been made since: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=60217;sa=showPosts

Hello everyone, Thank you for your concern. I am glad to see replies on this thread. First, I did not scam anyone and nobody scam me. Last post on forum was regarding DGC payment on my account, and that is solved by mtree5 and nearmiss. They are good guys. I am often on their chat channel. Second, I had some reputation with my last account "Milan77" here, and do not want to explain to some members why I had to change username. I believe it is very possible to recover it. Third, it is just bitcointalk forum that is affected, so I do not yet have reason to be suspicious on computer hack or virus or stealer or ... similar. This just happens when forum passwords gets hacked, no big deal for me, but would like to sort things out. And I am not a newbie trying to make post counter higher for accessing forum THANK YOU ALL FOR SUPPORT!

We weren’t accusing you personally of scamming*, but whoever gained access to your account could use it for that. *Unless you are not the person you say you are .

It is not my fault for this situation. Who can stop bank robberies or store stealing? Do you know the fact that thousands of username/passwords are stolen from this forum server? Actually, I am guilty for not changing passwords every two weeks. But, who does?

Contact the admin or a Global Moderator. At least they will ban the account until they can confirm you are the owner and stop it from being abused. If you had the account before it should be easy to convince them you are the owner (old e-mail address linked to account under your control,Country and Region,IP used etc...).

Shure, that is not a question... I can easily confirm my statements, just waiting admins to have some time.
