Author Topic: Official Bitcoin client crashes after first install win7 64Bit  (Read 1075 times)

So, is there any way to get a working client for Bitcoin? This is the first time i installed Bitcoin on this PC! (bitcoin-0.3.24-win32-setup)

This is the crash message:

MSVCR80.DLL is in the Windows/Winsxs/....blah directory. Tried with and without firewall, virus scanner enabled.

Are you sure the file you downloaded isn't corrupt?

Did you look at the checksums, or try re-downloading and re-installing it?

I'm pretty sure it was corrupted.

Try re-installing your C runtime libraries.

Did install/repair my VC redist.

Still the same crash.

You know what, just forget bout it, not worth my time. I don't know why this is not running i have a clean win7 installation and all other applications i use for work (Adobe, MS Office) work perfectly. I have better things to do than bother with amateurish software.
