Which driver are people using? Which one has better performance? Setting up 3 new rigs tomorrow, and wondering which driver people are installing.

Also, are people using the APP SDK 2.9, or the included one? I took a quick look, and it didn't look like 13.12 installs a OCL runtime, so the SDK 2.9 would be required. Is this correct?

And most people have been using the ADL 5.0, but 6.0 is now out.

I've got a bunch of 280x and 290 cards, and while I looove downloading the latest and greatest software, that doesn't always work out to be the best option with AMD. Wink Any reports or tips would be greatly appreciated!

going to 13.12 made no difference on my linux box.  just as stable as the previous beta.  no idea about the SDKs.

I started with the 13.11, works fine (Though I have some instability issues on Asus P8P67 boards), I upgraded one rig to 13.12, didn't notice any perceptable change (possibly/maybe 2-3KH/s slower per gpu after upgrade, but cannot be certain yet).

So I guess either will do.

I'm assuming you guys re-used your scrypt bin files? If you did, then we don't know if the APP SDK 2.9 works any better or not. If you did delete them, then there really isn't any difference.

I'm curious what you end up going with.  I'm having a hell of a time trying to get a PowerColor 290 to mine at all.  I've tried both Linux and Windows.

Running 5x PowerColor 290's. Our test bench was using 13.12, and the actual rig is using 13.11beta9.4. No difference in hashrate. I did have to install APP SDK 2.9 to get it mining, tho.

I have to check what version of SDK I was installing.  I get constant HW errors above I 11 regardless of TC or any other settings.

1 thread.

I finally got my issues with the PowerColor cards resolved last night.  Stable at 820 kh/s. I'm going to push them a little further when I move in a week.

I wiped out my ubuntu install, and installed xubuntu with the 13.11b9.5 drivers that were just released two days ago. Installed with no hitch, and were up and mining with no issues very quickly. Got all 5 290 cards working in no time at all.
