The sgminer offerd in github ( https://github.com/216k155/sgminer-phi1612-Implemented/releases ) is obsolite and needs some loving by inteligent programmers.
Since i am not such a person i would like to ask all who can to post it here so all our smart minds can make a good miner for amd cards.

Being half a year old doesn't make it obsolete. Sometimes there just isn't much to be gained by iterative improvement.

But there is a actually a new one, a little bit faster, here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3568042.0

I can't say that sgminer-kl is faster than sgminer-phi-5.6.1-bitbandi-3. On my Strix RX480 (default settings 1310/2000MHz; BIOS mod Uber 3.1) gives the same 15Mh (15,2-15,3) at I=21. So when using RX580 (as an example KL0nLutiy), there should be no difference.

On RX480, default clocks (1266/2000) with Uber 3.1 I get about 1-2% with KL (from 14.9-15 to 15.2-15.3).
Both miners tested with "-k phi -g 2 -w 256 -X 256"

Like I said, "a little bit faster" Wink

No point.  Algo change among many other exciting improvements are coming at block 300K for Lux.

I did some more minor changes for phi optimizations https://github.com/KL0nLutiy/sgminer-kl/commit/520a79f450e551f634bf76d3cacd66e8a3565b34. If someone interested he can you use last phi.cl kernel with last miner release sgminer-kl-1.0.4
