You are certainly right about that.
The problem is that "new members" do not have they guards up.
They trust in random people.
I hope to draw more focus on the possibility of scam to new members.

Newbs gonna newb. You wont get to most of them in time as scammers tend to do their shit in private messages away from the prying eyes of the more weary seasoned members. Usually blatant scammers get torn a new one pretty quick, but I guess it's always nice to have somebody dedicated to this (as long as this is the case and you don't actually turn out to be some sort of scammer
