Before you decide to meet with long-targeted angel investors and do fundraising, it's good you first observe whether it's time your startup raises funds

you need realize a part of idea at least 30%. To show them working prototype... Also do a lot research before presenting your idea. You need to show them that you are really enjoining it

Sometimes it is difficult to understand that investors will part with their hard-earned cash for something that has never been made. But this is precisely what happens in the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Nowadays? A fancy website, a good marketing team, and a fake promise.
But if you are serious about your project, a good team is the best place to start. Once you build a good team, one of those brains should be able to come up with what's actually really needed before you can go to any potential seed investor.

You're asking how to get early funding for an ICO project as a developer? If yes, then you'll have to consider the process is the same as for any startup venture. Are you a proven full-stack developer (either you've worked at GAFA or at a successful startup or come from a top engineering school)?
- No -> Good luck, probably better to go the ICO route (website, team, white paper, etc.)
- Yes -> Talk to angel investors (anyone with money), VCs, or crypto investors (whales, pools, etc.)
- No, but I have a good prototype -> Talk to angel investors (anyone with money) or VCs, or crypto investors (whales, pools, etc.)

Investors typically are looking for proof of sales, if your product is actually doing something new which will benefit the world, if they can make their money back a MVP, and other things.

A good idea with hands-on control and a team of quality developers who are invested in the project. An idea alone is worth nothing. The devs have to show some work (proof of concept), mockups and perhaps even a white paper before they are taken seriously. As the token market has become quite saturated investors are going to be more careful and diligent when it comes to these sort of projects.

With the little experience I have gotten from most successful ico I have worked with, investors currently looks at the hype and really not the project itself which is not good though.

My advice don't put too much trust on you're investor sometime they just pure scam. He told you that he rich men. Tell you every sweet fairy tale ,request you to send all the coin and puff. You hard work is done. Be extra careful in this crypto world, everyone want to jump over you if you lower you're guard.

Just see history of any successful ICOs here, start reading threads from the begining. There are a lot of facts that matters: People who are in group, whitepaper, advertisement, PR and a lot. One can raise 10K usd, another one - 1000x more, depends on how confident, talented and great they are in their job in any way I posted above.

If you need to invest your fund for ICO project development you can find the better growth for it once you have started the fund raising only. There are many people are started their ICO project before they are starting the development phase. White paper content and other works about your website or project need to be designed well to show the people that you are legit people to give your tokens to them. Many investors waiting to invest their money on good project. If you create accordingly, it will be good way to make money.
