this easy that you post a few throw-away lines before the newbie restrictions are lifted. See:

The funny thing (for me), is that when everyone's posting throw-away initial posts to get established, it's pretty hard to find something that's worth replying in several sentences. Be patient, curious, and genuinely interested in the discussion here - that helps (and is the whole point of the newbie system).
