Hi!

I'm about to pull the trigger a build a 6 GPU rig, first 3 GPUs and then add another 3.

I was thinking on using the R9 280x Sapphire Dual X 3GB

But there are two versions, the OC which has sightly higher clocks and the normal version.

OC: 11221-07-20G
No OC: 11221-00-20G/40G

Assuming the price difference is not important (4€)

Which one should I get for higher hashrate?

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Hi. Did you find a suitable answer to your question? I'm also planning to purchase the same model GPUs, and am interested in the answer. Thanks.

Get the OC version. This one allows you to undervolt and will result into less power consumption while keeping good hashrate. Now people say they get over 760 hashes per second per GPU. I was not able to get that stable. The best I could get from these same cards is 740 which is not bad as well.

If you can get the Sapphire Vapor-X OC 29 280x. Not too big different compared to these you have mentioned and the cards are built to last long time even though mining means 24/7 usage.

Got the OC, but I only get 710Khash/s with Voltage at 1050-1075. Which settings do you use?
