I wouldn't suggest that. Selling/buying digital currency is against paypal's TOS and they'll reverse the funds at the request of the sender.

It's so easy for a person to claim they were hacked and didn't make the transaction. I've heard stories of folks even getting phone calls from PayPal asking if they'd like to dispute because it was suspicious. I sold some dogecoin on eBay and I got lucky.

I have heard that if you're going to use PayPal, at least use the send as gift option.

It is not really a good way to sell bitcoin due to possible chargeback.

paypal really needs option to overide chargeback.  example,  you send a payment,  you choose option to bypass chargeback,  basically you forgo the right to recall the transaction.  This would require phone calls and identity confirmation and probably should be limited to accounts that have like two factor auth setup.  Both parties should be notified that sender has given up right to chargeback for this transaction.

Probably not the best solution,  but it would solve many problems.  Better would be if they held a bitcoin escrow for selling. Chargeback not allowed once escrow is released.

No what they should do is verify BTC transactions via Blockchain.info. I for one have almost been screwed by someone selling BTC and never sent them yet told paypal he did. I had to jump through hoops just to get my $ back from this stupid scammer.

I agree.
If in any case, PayPal should be sent first as BTC isn't reversible.
