A simple search on google will give you this..
https://coinjournal.net/what-is-selfish-mining-and-is-it-a-threat-to-bitcoin/

Also, you need a lot of hashing power to do that. How much? Well, who knows.
AFAIK the numbers given by some crypto people are still an estimation and is not the exact % you need for a successful selfish mining.

Hello  everyone,
I want to know about the term " Selfish mining ".
Can you guys help me.
This is a separate mining process that delivers a large production, but it is a very complex process and it will be very difficult for a simple beginner in the crypto-currency business to do it.

there is this not-at-all-popular website called google.com and if you go there and type in basic questions like "what is selfish mining" and press enter it will magically answer your question.
do that and if you still had question about some part of it that confused you come back here and ask others about that confusing part. Smiley

There is a FOMO brewing...

Selfish mining is used to earn more. In general after a block is created it is shared for others to add new block, but here miners keep the block secretly to earn more.

rarely people are sometimes able to do this mining, so if we are still learning about bitcoin better do not do this first. if you are able then do it. because they fit our skills.

So far my understanding, selfish mining is the complex process of mining. Through this process large block are created. And large  number of coin is mined.

Selfish is an attack on the integrity of the Bitcoin network. This is where one miner, or mining pool, does not publish and distribute a valid solution to the rest of the network.

It's a very complex process. Even the experienced investors rarely doubt to do this. I would suggest you to take time and surf more about it.

It is mining system that is different than the usual mining process. It operates for a large scale production. But the process is very difficult and construes also. It is even more difficult for the new investors. So do not hang the head by thinking such complex process at first. Invest in bitcoin and gather experience about the market and then explore such thing. Do not waste the valuable time to understand such complex system.

Secret Mining is generally a mining mining where there're a large productions of coins and new block is created. It is not easy and convenient to use. A lot of skills are required for this. Roll Eyes

This article explains it very well:
https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/guides/what-is-bitcoin-selfish-mining/

But it's definitely not fair and can lead to centralization.

Selfish mining is a strategy for mining bitcoin in which groups of miners collude to increase their revenue. Bitcoin was invented to decentralize production and distribution of money. But selfish mining can result in centralization of bitcoin mining operations.

A miner can generate one block at a time, and then can others can follow suit. After a successful generation of a single block, it has to be published to the network, and every miner works to produce a block that will follow the previous one.
However, for selfish mining, the miner does not follow the normal process of creating a block. The selfish miner instead mines the block continuously maintaining its track and fails to publish it to the network.  The attacker only publishes the chain of the transaction to increase the amount of revenue earned.  From the attack, the miner receives more than the stipulated portion of the mining power.

A mining process that is different from regular mining process. So it operates a large scale of productions and this process is very difficult also it also difficult for the new investors also so investing on bitcoin is great but this types of mining make investors at risk point so they should be aware of this mining.

If you don't speak English, and don't know the difference between 'selfish' and 'secret' , please could you refrain from polluting the boards with uninformed spam.

As I understand it 'secret mining' is the use of a trojan to hijack the processing power of a surfer's computer to mine blocks. It is illegal, and equivalent to theft in my opinion.

In china alone almost 70 percent of the bitcoin mining operation was accounted until earlier this year the Chinese government imposed a ban on bitcoin farming and trading. I guess you could call that selfish mining.

in my eyes it is very complicated and comples process and tough in many ways.
Selfish mining is a kind of mining process which is separated and gives you huge amaount of production.
