I believe price depends on demand and supply . The more demand with low supply results more higher price and vice versa. Is there any way to increase the demand of bitcoin in the current market situation that would uplift the price if Bitcoin?

I think you are right. Mostly price varies due to demand and supply. If demand raise more than supply price will go up. The only way, i think, to increase the demand I believe its usage. The more people use btc, the more demand will be generated .

But investors with big capital will be able to affect the price a little bit, do you remember mt gox?

it does not make any sense at all,
first.
you were saying those 'big fat cats' but at the same time you were also referring it to 'mt gox' ?
the reason why Bitcoin went down so deep when Mt.Gox went scam was because it was the biggest exchange that Bitcoin ever had that time and it did not has any relation with those big fat cats.
so it's very logical if we're seeing those kind of action happened with Bitcoin.

also how to raise the demand ?
of course by increasing their awareness about Bitcoin and its usability for life.
people will realize that it'll be their future because they need something to help them improve their financial system to catch up to their technology.

Ask Bill Gates and Warren Buffett to tell that everyone must invest to bitcoin.

We have to encourage everyone that they shouldn't listen to any bad news that are coming out otherwise they would listen to it and just buy the news. The outcome? you know it, reduction in demand and to the price as well.

This is the easiest way to encourage people to invest not just in bitcoin but in whole cryptomarket, but of course this thing will not happen.

We have to encourage everyone that they shouldn't listen to any bad news that are coming out otherwise they would listen to it and just buy the news. The outcome? you know it, reduction in demand and to the price as well.

Let's continue to educate people regarding on this matter and for those who still not satisfied about the information you give we cannot do anything on the and time will come that they will realized the opportunity they've lost for not listening to you.

that doesn't really increase the demand for bitcoin.
what that does is that it will create a wave of newbies who would buy bitcoin thinking they have struck oil and will become rich. this 'demand' will be temporary and won't last. it may cause a temporary rise but that won't last either.
the real demand is when people are properly educated about bitcoin and understand what it really does and then buy it if they wanted to use this decentralized currency.

Supply is not a problem because there is a limit to how many bitcoins can be created and as time goes by and halving bitcoin will be more scarce. As for demand, we can't do anything on this forum to increase, apart from spreading popularity, which we already do, but the increase in demand will come as it already has because of the good quality of the product: bitcoin.

That's true mate, I'm just giving the idea to others that these people are causing fear for the newbies to come in and as well for the current holders. They are bringing a big impact to the market, I'm not saying it's all because of them but they are part of it.

This is the easiest way to encourage people to invest not just in bitcoin but in whole cryptomarket, but of course this thing will not happen.

With every person that we'll educate about bitcoin it makes difference. But we don't have to encourage them to invest with it, we should spread knowledge.

Obviously any other commodities besides bitcoin will likely get a good price if there is really a demand. Simple basic economic principle that is application to the crypto currency. But the question is how to have more demands? Or where should the demand comes from? Right now, more are selling bitcoin because they either wanted to get out or traders simply making profits (day trader). But for the demand to increased, we need something like a positive news that will renewed the interest of investors again. Everyone though the 2018 New York consensus will do that, however, we didn't make any break out and on the contrary that week, we see the price goes below $8K. However, it looks like we have somewhat recovered because the price is around $8500.

Positive news isn't enough and doesn't last very long. In order for the demand to increase in a durable and maintainable manner, we need something that adds to Bitcoin's utility and stimulates usage. In the end it's the usage that matters, and the more use Bitcoin enjoys, the more value it will gain. Long term speaking Lightning will stimulate usage and that in my opinion will be the main thing to look forward to.

Short term speaking, and I am sure we'll get at least one of them live this year, are either ETF's or coin backed funds to look forward to. Mainly the coin backed funds will be a major bullish trigger because of how they actually hold crypto assets as underlying value, which can't be said about options, futures, ETF's, etc. With enough of these coin backed funds around, the supply will shrink to such degree, that we will blast through $100,000 comfortably.

Exactly, why should BTC depend on two man opinion, especially dinosaurs like Warren Buffett who is almost 90 years old and the so-called visionary Bill Gates who have also very dark side. When they say something I'll do exactly the opposite.

I agree that one of the biggest problem in cryptocurrency is lack of knowledge and education, people just not understand what it is BTC and how it works. For most people, this is just an opportunity for quick profit and most of them get burned in trading. When we add all additional traps which user may encounter when is involved with BTC, we come to the fact that the vast majority of the world - maybe 99% is not invest in crypto coins.

This can be only solved by time and with good will of governments around the world, to use something you need to trust in that.

- price of bitcoin like everything else depends on its supply and demand.
- the supply is not "low" it is a reasonable amount which is the important part and also it is limited to a fixed number (is capped).
- the demand is going to rise as the adoption increases. and adoption will only increase over time and as more people find out about bitcoin or more merchants start accepting bitcoin or more people start spending bitcoin as a currency. and that in turn will increase the price of it.

indeed bitcoin prices lately continue to decline, but behind the decline it will usually reflect the return of the bullish trend. only support and positive news will make bitcoin prices soar again, as well as the number of requests on the market, clearly people are panicked do not immediately sell the coins they have if you see a situation like this, because usually things like that that will be a burden for prices move on up again.
another cause that will make bitcoin prices skyrocket again is the gloom of the global economy.

But unfortunately, Warren Buffett is always Says Buying Bitcoin Is Gambling, Not Investment, maybe because volatile Bitcoin prices could cause him heart-attack Cheesy . Your theory is correct. The more demand exists, the higher the price will be. But in reality things are more complex and it's not that easy to boost the price, at least not in short run. There are ways of manipulating or suppressing the price to a certain degree, via future contracts for instance.
Bitcoin imo needs more retail investors to get in the market again. Many big players will probably buy OTC right now, which will not have a direct or immediate effect on the price.

that is true but it will also last a short time. it can not go on like this.
believe it or not at some point in the past the trending saying on the internet was "bitcoin is Ponzi Scheme" and many people believed that. today if you tell this to someone they will most probably laugh at you.
eventually in time when you tell people "bitcoin won't end well" or "is rat poison" they will also laugh at you.

The biggest demand for Bitcoin right now is store of value. Growth of price makes it raise even higher.   Price will rise much higher when countries will start buying in.

Actually, the main source of Bitcoin's demand is still coming from speculative use. Only a very few people actually use Bitcoin as store of value right now, but it's slowly gaining traction. In order for people to use Bitcoin as store of value, they first need to stop focusing solely on the speculative aspect and start diving into what's making Bitcoin such a powerful multifunctional tool. And what exactly do you mean with countries start buying in? Are you referring that governments will start to acquire Bitcoin just like they do so with gold to increase their reserves? Theoretically this could be possible, but there is no way for us to find out until they publicly announce that. Japanese authorities technically hold +100,000 BTC from MtGox, and Bulgarian authorities have said to own around 200,000 BTC, which I personally find very questionable.
