Good decision. I was also thinking about altcoins since the market is going soft right now. However In current market condition, my preference is to keep my capital in the account of ETH.

Personally I like and hold Ethereum and EOS but not Ripple eventhough it
has priven to be resilient against negative comments about it not being a

If it is you and friends, you are in a wonderful position, because you can do division of labor

I am pretty much on my own, which means I have to comb through everything by myself. You have the advantage here; everyone of your friend can check a handful of projects, then you can meet and discuss the findings. If you guys are willing to do the work, this is a _gigantic_ advantace you have over most of the market, which is pretty much just one guy or gal doing everything on their own.

There are still many places for investment but altcoin. But like you say. there are still many arguing which coins for investment of course we want to make a profit before. I suggest it's better to invest in ethereum than other coins. But all of that goes back to your respective decisions.

I would advise all of you to have your own strategy and go from there. The last thing you want is to mix business with pleasure and if you all choose your own currencies then you are held to your own standard. If you all on in on the same currency yet one does well, some people will be left upset. Split up and do your own thing, nobody wants to hold your hand in life.

I think you and your friends have to agree on a single coin for long-term investment, I advise you and your friends to choose Ethereum, Ethereum is more profitable than EOS and Ripple, I strongly recommend to avoid Ripple.

With the advantage of modern technology, solid foundation and special features of ETH, ETH day was crowded and investors were selected and trusted to invest. In addition, the BTC is still a digital currency with high value and stability higher than the Altcoin. BTC market increases or decreases directly affect the market of other coins ... Some potential Altcoin is highly regarded as Neo, Wave,Ripple... With the trend of investment diversification, ETH, BTC, Neo, Wave,Ripple ... are interested investors.

You might want to look into a coin that pays dividends, there's quite a few around where you earn a small amount profit just for holding the coin. Most of these are securities, one such coin is NEO, simply holding it in an appropriate wallet (not an exchange) leads to the generation of GAS which has value in its own right. I think I recall the yearly yield is about 10% which isn't bad at all.

before investing your money you should know how long it will be ?
based on our current movement some of them were overbought and some of them were oversold.
for example XRP(Ripple) and EOS,right now based on my opinion both of them were overbought and we should see another down trend that might be happen with them.
which means right now it's not a good time to buy it for a short time,but if you are buying it and holding it for a year/s.
i think it is good for you.
aside that,please do some research about Stratis.
this project is one of the best in term of technology in my opinion and less hype compared to them.
if you are looking for a bigger picture,i think you need to give it a shot

You will have an unending debate with your friends if you are planning to have an investment pool together with them.
My suggestion to you is build your own portfolio and refrain from having partnerships with investments. This is why many partnerships aren't booming in terms of investments because of disagreement and quarrels.
This is base on my experience.
