30 Blocks where mined during set up as block explorer will show. We will give out 5 RAD coins to every RAD address posted.
And the next thousand instamined? Why 150.000.000 total coins? With 3 minute blocks and the block sizes you have listed in OP the first 2 million blocks would take 11,4 years and it would only mint 38,95 million coins. And then another 20 million the next 11,4 years.

The last 3 scypt jane coins have had a terrible distrubution where almost all the coins have been mined the first weeks. This coins seems to be more fair.

No you need the custom miner in the announce post. It runs far cooler and efficient than cgminer. Come on BTC confirm, need to buy.

Hopefully I somehow didn't mess something up. In my Rad wallet under number of transactions, it shows 5. But I only see 3 in the recent transactions. 1 transaction is from giveway (thanks again!) and the other 2 out of 4 from mining. I am missing the other 2 from mining, or are those gone or will show up later? I have not sent any coins either.
Thanks.

Yes as diff increases they will disappear. You can reduce scan time and queue time to help.

Ok thanks, was just weird since it flashed in my wallet, the bubble message you get in corner saying you mined a block. I thought it was because I started the wallet with -server. I restarted it without that parameter then when I did find a block it showed up in transaction.
I must add, the miner is so efficient and much cooler, I'm amazed. Thanks!

Edit: ahh finally got it, renamed the conf from radioactive.conf to radioactivecoin.conf

Download Radioactivecoin GPU Miner (The link is in the OP). That looks like a settings problem but, even though CGMiner worked for me, I had tons of rejects and no accepted blocks after an hour (I started mining in the first 5 minutes of this thread popping up). Using Radioactivecoin GPU Miner got me 3 accepted blocks in just over an hour or something, with 3 rejects.

The solo miner you gave us is giving me Pool 0 slow/down or URL or Credentials invalid
but I changed the conf file and the solominer to match rpcuser and pass so idk?
Also is there a cuda alternative since it seems to focus on CGminer?

I think I'm going to pass given how exponentially fast the difficulty has risen over night from 1.14 - 19.93 and seeing as just under 1,000 blocks have been mined in that period as well. Was hopefully betting it'd be just like most Launch coins the Difficulty rises to double digits then falls to under 0.00's~ after a few hours but this isn't the case and I'm not interested in picking up scraps from a pool at this point.

got some pretty decent hashrate happening on the pools.
I like the fact that the Coin rewards are not crazy high at the start. sometimes it is too much of a shock to the miners when it goes from Block rewards of 10,000 coins, down to 100 coins... and then all the miners just switch.
it just creates too unstable pricing at the start.

Speaking of pricing.
I want to buy your coins!
openex.pw does not currently have enough volume on there to make a decent purchase.
I am looking to buy 2-3 BTC worth, so please contact me and sell me your coins!

Big red letters, wow. The setting is at .1% per annum, it is place for security not gains. This can be altered. Lotto site is up. http://radioactivetik.tk/

Distribution is far more spread out and even for all miners. Conformations and security in the chain are very vital with 3 minute blocks and 100 confirmations on mined blocks. We have regular services coming online daily. I guess people are speaking with their hash not their mouths. We have some more give-aways coming soon.

There are a few points to like.
Fair launch- Launch was fair with only a small % of total coins to be mined released in the first 1000 blocks.
Security- 3 minute mined blocks on 100 confirmations offers greater protection from attack.
Pools, services and exchanges- In less than a week we have pools, games, exchange and more in the works.
GPU and CPU friendly- We will be releasing a CPU miner soon.

How many coins is a small % ? Are we talking hundreds or hundreds of thousands?

First 1000 block was random 100-1000.
Now it is currently 100 block reward.
Block Reward Structure. 1-1000 100-1000 Random Reward 1001-20000 100 * COIN 20001-40000 75 * COIN 40001-100000 50* COIN 100001-300000 25 * COIN 300001-600000 20 * COIN 600001-2000000 15 * COIN 2000000 10* COIN
Current money supply : 863621 Rad Coins
The current total coin supply coded is 150 million. The total time for this would take many lifetimes . Some have argued we need to adjust the total coins down to 25 million which will take around 25 years.
Thoughts?

Blocks take soooo long to confirm I realise these coins are supposed to mine at a slow steady rate regardless of difficulty (or rather because of it), but what happens when the mother!%#@* megapooling multifarmers pay a visit? Are the fortress walls thick enough to keep out the Vandal hoardes? And does the 'jane' aspect of the code help out with this particular threat?

The site says its 150,000,000 coins, and that's what I thought it was, but in first OP post it says 25,000,000 total coins. Now, I could do the math, just to beat to do it now. Which one is right?

We were asked to reduce the total coins as the period it took to produce the total was too long. It will still take 20-25 years to mine the 25 million.
The whole structure was to mimic the slow decay but we changed it to avoid confusion and accusations of not being fair.

On the bright side, the rarity of the coin has increased sixfold overnight. Hope I'm still alive in 20-25 years when the last coin is discovered. I'd like to enjoy the humungous fire-works display from my Martian apartment.

Firstly thanks for taking the time to acknowledge us. We seem to be the quite group of miners and investors. We the team behind Radioactivecoin or RAD Coin as we are commonly referred, are open and up to the challenges we face. Although this thread seems quite our community has many international members and miners. With close to 1GHs almost 2 weeks in it seems those who have taken the time to have a look may realize we are the real deal. Thanks again for your article and look forward to giving you more reasons to write about us in the future.

You like that? I read... "Personally, Radioactive Coin might be the least attractive Cryptocurrency we have seen recently, but we can always be proven wrong of course." and thought wtf, why? Active development and good and constant hash rates....

I can't seem to get solo mining to work with this coin, normally I have no problem but it keeps saying "Pool 0 slow/down or URL or credentials invalid" and I have double checked even triple checked everything
Edit: ahh finally got it, renamed the conf from radioactive.conf to radioactivecoin.conf
This should be in original post. Even after doing the above I get wallet out of sync on the new client. It is making connections out so perhaps it's working? Usually it has a progress bar that says 'x days behind'. Am I good or is it not working? thanks,

Some time you will loss the progress bar and just get the spinning circles. As long as the blocks are downloading it will sync.

Ok so it still wasn't working for some reason.
Looking in the debug console - command line options is says default conf file is Radioactivecoin.conf with a capitol R. I know windows isn't case sensitive but I changed it for good measure and now am synching. The progress bar became visible also.
It may be that it takes a while to get status but I think the rename might have been the issue.

if it helps anyone typing setgenerate true 4 in the debug window will start mining in the wallet.
change the 4 to however many cores you can spare without overloading your cpu.

We are proud to announce a new service to spend your RAD coins. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=425368"We the team behind Radioactivecoin are proud to announce a new crypto store coming soon. To start we will be exclusively accepting Radioactivecoins(RAD), Velocitycoins(VEL), Quick Quick Coin(QQC) and Applecoin(APC).
The store will start with a large selection of games to purchase, all at discounted prices. The addition of more goods and services will be added depending on demand. These additional goods and services are yet to be announced.
There will be options for people to earn 5% affiliate commission off referrals, gift vouchers and many more features.

post your miner config file. setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 radioactivecoinminer -o stratum+tcp://rad.minersbest.com:10460 -u Sparkzor.1 -p 1111 --thread-concurrency 8193 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1200 --gpu-powertune 20 -w 256 -I 13 -g 1 -d 0 --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1389196388 Same kind of miner as Velocitycoin and that worked for VCC. (I changed --nfmin etc to the ones in OP)

If your using the same miner look in the miner config file, you may need to change the n time in there. Not the pool-miner or solo-miner file, the actual config file.

Using RAD-miner, but both are YGC-miner so everything but n-time should work! It starts and all, but I'm not getting any accepts nor rejects. Though it says "new block found on pool 0"

Probably get around 1500 coins a day? Someone correct me if I am incorrect. 300kh gets 200-300 coins daily. 3600kh is currently around 7000kh scrypt-jane.

Okay it's definitely not profitable at the current price.
It is profitable, the price is slowly rising and the difficulty is rising too. RAD is probably the most profitable coin.

Either I'm to dumb to calculate but RAD will give me about 0.01 BTC per day. With Middlecoin I make around 0.03-0.05 per day, don't know exactly but definitely more. Even with LTC I'll make more.

0,01 at current rates, and if prices go back to 0.00006?

rad.cipherpool.com - doesn't appear to working/paying out for blocks found
It does meanwhile. A bit late though, sry! Had a problem with the cronjobs, everything mined is credited and paid out backwards.

I can't seem to get solo mining to work with this coin, normally I have no problem but it keeps saying "Pool 0 slow/down or URL or credentials invalid" and I have double checked even triple checked everything
Edit: ahh finally got it, renamed the conf from radioactive.conf to radioactivecoin.conf
hey having same exact problem here,,, could you expand a bit on the change or where you changed that conf file from? lol I'm getting a headache trying to solo mine thx!

I'm interested in mining this coin. i'm mining on a couple of windows-based rigs right now without issues. I'd like to have my BAMT headless rig mine Radioactivecoin as well. Is there any support on setting up this scrypt-jane miner on BAMT? I'm not very Linux-savy... could you point me in the right direction? ;p

Here we go! 1. Make sure you use SMOS 1.3 (tested on 1.2 also, won't work!) 2. Get the cgminer 3.7.2 sources and push them to the rig (or directly on the rig: wget http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/3.7/cgminer-3.7.2.tar.bz2) 3. tar -xjvf cgminer-3.7.2.tar.bz2 4. get this patch: https://sites.google.com/site/rmdavidson/cgminer-3.7.2-sj-0.02.patch.gz?attredirects=05. Copy the patch to the cgminer folder 6. patch -i thepatch.patch 7. CFLAGS="-O2 -Wall -march=native" ./configure --enable opencl --enable-scrypt 8. make 9. cp ~/.cgminer/cgminer.conf cgminer.conf 10. Edit the cgminer file (that is in your cgminer folder now!!!) to your choice BUT 11. Add the line "sj-time" : "1389196388" in the config file 12. Run cgminer: ./cgminer -c cgminer.conf --scrypt-jane If you like this, miners on my pools or tips are welcome edit: If you do not change the API values of the copied cgminer.conf you will have the stats on the SMOS stats page edit2: Special thanks to rmdavidson who released the patch file!

i run into funny error on one of my PC...
Got same settings from OP, suddenly one of rigs start getting ONLY hardware errors... changing anything wont help i changed videocard. hard drive with Windows, changed all settings except --StartT 1389196388 and i think maybe i had to change it?
I have no problems with any other scrypt coins, tried also scrypt-jane QQC to check.
Or problem in RAM?
Any advice?

John Dorien had same Error. I will ask him what he did to fix it but... 1. Make sure you use SMOS 1.3

keep it up!
This coin has the all the essential attributes to have a good future,ASIC-PROOF+MULTIPOOL-PROOF. plus reasonable amount and reasonable harvest schedule+ KGW. I don't expect it would be same value as BTC but I expect it would be a good competitor of VTC
come on! Let's fly!

The dev has a sick child at the moment so he's been away. The QQ responds rather quick to questions still. cryptorush.in has a bit of volume as well.

This coin is so radio-active; I started mining a few days ago and I have cancer already!
I visited my local hospital and they advised me to stop mining RAD or it could get worse.

mined it long time ago (in crypto time), it was so radioactive nobody wanted to buy them (and openex died of radiation poisonning too... before it reached critical mass)

Promote your coin and vote at: VOTE HEREMaybe we should vote for the Coin Revival Foundation to revive Radioactive Coin. They are currently working on Quarkbar and have upgraded it to DarkgravityWave v3. After they have finished with Quarkbar they could start working on Radioactive Coin if enough people vote for it.

I guess I don't need to ask if the blockchain is still radiating...? No nodes, completely dead, right? If not, speak up, otherwise moving the QT to my graveyard folder... Peace! Devvie twitter.com/devnullius
