I see people talking about paper wallets as a way to store bitcoins securely.  Does this just mean that your wallet info is physically written down on a piece of paper and put somewhere safe?  Or is there more to it than the terminology might suggest?

Any info or links you might have to help me understand this better would be appreciated.  I'm trying to figure out how to make my information the most secure before I get any further into this.

That is exactly what it is. Just write down your private key on a piece of paper and there you go.

Yes a paper wallet, as the name says itself, it's a paper with the private key written down on it.
You can print fancy paper wallet from i.e. bitaddress.org and encrypt the key with bit38 to add an extra layer of protection.

If you are looking for something professional then i would suggest the site Cryptocoinwalletcards.com
They not only have BTC, but LTC, PPC, and now even Namecoin. I have ordered from them, and am highly satisfied with thier work.

my first musical NFT on namecoin m/eow was registered in 2014. my specialization is cryptoart and my preferred platform is CounterParty Feel free to give feedback on the Treatise on cyproart I wrote in 2019, well before the NFT hype-train pulled into town. This Gallery includes multiple works made by, with or for me. for sale @ ethereum.properties : ethereum.training ethereum.contractors ethereum.computer ethereum.systems ethereum.training ethereum.support ethereum.solutions list obo

Just make sure you don't lose that piece of paper!  If it goes missing, then all of your BTC are gone forever!
