Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

 back to topic: Last information I had is that they did not have the keyphrase to unlock the wallet.  But if they do, it is going to be interesting, when and how they are going to liquidate those BTRC (at least not on gox Wink),
